The metal ring gasket is made through forging, heat treatment and mechanical processing. It is a metal sealing gasket used in oil and gas pipelines, pressure vessels, high-speed joint surfaces, high-temperature and high-pressure valve covers, etc. Especially in situations with fluctuating pressure and temperature, it can still maintain a good sealing performance. The commonly used R-type gaskets are classified by cross-section as elliptical or octagonal. The standard R-type ring-shaped gaskets are manufactured according to API6A and ASME B16.20 standards and have a maximum working pressure of 10,000 PSI. In trapezoidal groove flanges, octagonal gaskets and elliptical gaskets can be interchanged. The RX-type octagonal gasket is suitable for pressure-enhanced standard R-type ring-shaped gaskets and is suitable for flange groove sealing surfaces like R-type. The BX-type octagonal gasket is suitable for pressure-enhanced systems with a design pressure up to 15,000 PSI. Note:

The hardness of the star-shaped pad material should be lower than that of the flange surface by 15-20 HB. It is also recommended not to reuse it.
